Coventry City Manager Steven Pressley was delighted to continue Coventry City's winning return at the Ricoh Arena as they beat Yeovil Town 2-1.Goals from captain Reda Johnson and a first goal for Simeon Jackson either side of Sam Foley's equaliser was enough for the Sky Blues to take all three points and see them climb into the play-off places.
The City boss was especially delighted with his sides response to being pegged back early in the second half.
"I always thought we could win this game," he said. "It was always going to be a tough game, but there is a real confidence about the group at the moment.
"To be honest it was disappointing at half time as I thought we could have been more than 1-0 up. But it takes courage after you get pegged back and we showed that. I'm really proud that the unbeaten run has been extended."
The last time City lost was all the way back on the opening day of the season, however Pressley believes there is even more to come from the Sky Blues.
"There is still work ahead, but the amount of effort everyone is showing is fantastic.
"We trained so well this week, we were ready for the first whistle. It is great to see everybody putting in so much effort for the shirt, I can't ask for any more."
In a game where there were great performances all over the pitch, Pressley commended the efforts of his Sky Blue strike force, as well as praising the Under-18's, who beat Bristol City 6-0 earlier in the day.
"Our Under 18's gave me a huge lift. It's great to see that future players are fulfilling the potential they have, and it's great for it to all click together.
"When the senior team wins also it is a great feeling. Today I thought Frank (Nouble) was excellent, he put in a really tough performance, and showed a lot of work ethic.
"I was also delighted for Simeon. To take off Josh (McQuoid) was tough because I thought he played really well but he took a heavy knock to the head and we were worried as to whether he might me concussed.
"Simeon took his goal well, and I'm delighted. Reda (Johnson) also played his usual great game. Overall we were resilient and I will now look to Scunthorpe on Tuesday to keep the unbeaten run going."
