Coventry City manager Steven Pressley spoke to the Coventry Telegraph regarding the January transfer window, here is what he had to say...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph that the club are in talks to sign "two or three" players ahead of the end of the January transfer window.

The Sky Blues boss also hinted that due to the transfer kitty at his disposal, the potential signings may well be loan deals as the deadline looms at 11pm on Monday night.

The manager said: “We need to bring in some additional players to add speed to our attacking.

“We’re working hard on two or three and the one thing I will say is that they’re unlikely to be permanent deals because we’ve not got a transfer kitty, and I’ve made that perfectly clear.

“So we are looking at possible loan players which is not ideal but it’s important that we get loan players with a hunger and desire, and they’ll more than likely be younger players with that. So that’s the avenue we’re going down at this moment in time.

"I would like to push a couple through in the next 48 hours so we can get them on the training ground and work with them on Thursday and Friday to implement our methods.”
