TEAMS NEWS: Coventry City v Sheffield United - Sam Ricketts will miss the final two games of the season with a knee injury

28 April 2016

The Sky Blues manager gives an update on the injured players within the City ranks, as Sam Ricketts is ruled out for the remainder of the season...

Tony Mowbray has revealed that several injured Sky Blues players are nearing a return as he prepares his squad for the final home game of the season.

Whilst none of CCFC's injured list are ready to return to competitive training, most have made an appearance on the training pitches and have reintroduced a ball in to their rehab.

The Sky Blues boss has also revealed that captain Sam Ricketts won't feature again this season, as he has been sidelined with a knee injury.

Mowbray said: "[Jordan] Willis, [Chris] Stokesy and Reda [Johnson] are back on the grass, as is [Darius] Henderson. But none are ready to make a return.

"Injuries seem to be clearing up now we are nearing the end of the season. Although Sam Ricketts won’t be involved again this season.

"Generally people are back on the grass, but none are ready to play competitively yet."
