Sky Blues record back-to-back wins after goals from Jordan Shipley and Bassala Sambou hand them victory at Nottingham Forest

Coventry City Under 18s extended their lead at the top of Professional Development League 2 North to three points on Saturday with a 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest.

Jordan Shipley's third goal of the season and Bassala Sambou's first of the campaign sandwiched an equaliser from the home side to make it seven wins from the opening ten games for the Sky Blues.

Shipley opened the scoring in fine style with a top corner finish from more than 25 yards after four minutes.

City went into the break with the one-goal cushion but Forest netted an equaliser ten minutes after the restart.

Sambou the reinstated City's lead after 67 minutes when he ran across his marker in the area and applied a superb volleyed finish to Jacob Whitmore's whipped in cross from the right.

The Sky Blues next host Peterborough North Star in the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday, October 29th at Nuneaton Town.
