Coventry City midfielder Vladimir Gadzhev played an hour of the Sky Blues' 2-0 win over Watford at the Ricoh Arena.
Striker George Thomas scored just past the half-hour and Kyle Spence sealed the victory from close range to make it back-to-back wins for City.
New signings Vladimir Gadshev and Bilal Sayoud made their Ricoh Arena debuts and after a quiet opening 15 minutes, City dominated proceedings as the lively Devon Kelly-Evans had his low effort blocked in the area in the 15th minute.
Out of the two debutants, Sayoud had more influence on the game as his 50-yard through-ball found George Thomas onside but after turning inside, his shot was blocked and Lameiras had his effort saved 24 minutes in.
The Sky Blues took the lead just after the half-hour when Tommie Hoban gave the ball away and Thomas was quick to react to find the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
Lee Glover's side should have made it two before the break when captain Dion Kelly-Evans crossed for Lameiras at the back post but his volley came back off the woodwork before Gadshev had a 30-yard effort well saved by Nathan Gartside.
City continued their dominance after the break as Dion Kelly-Evans made a 60-yard run down the right to collect Thomas' cross but his effort was well saved from 10 yards out four minutes into the second-half.
Gadzhev completed an hour for the Sky Blues as Callum Maycock was introduced before Devon Kelly-Evans hit the post in the 68th minute after Spence put him in behind.
City did get their second goal 12 minutes from time as substitute Jordan Shipley followed up Devon Kelly-Evans' cross to force a save from Gartside but he could only parry into the path of Spence to finish.
Lee Glover's side managed the game well, limiting Watford to very few chances, as City not only claimed back-to-back wins but consecutive clean sheets in an impressive victory against the Premier League outfit.
