City's unbeaten start to the season continued at the Alan Higgs Centre against the North London side in resounding fashion...

Coventry City Under-18s continued their incredible start to the season with a resounding 5-0 victory over QPR at the Alan Higgs Centre.

The Sky Blues ran into a 3-0 lead before half-time with striker George Thomas netting a first-half hat-trick and goals from Ben Stevenson and James Maddison sealed the win in the second-half.

Jason Farndon's side started the day at the top of the league and began the game with the confidence of leaders as Thomas slotted home a Jacob Whitmore cross with just six minutes gone.

Twenty minutes later, City doubled their lead. Jay Albini pressured the QPR keeper and won the ball before unselfishly finding his strike-partner Thomas to slot home.

Whitmore claimed another assist before the break when he was found on the right-wing by Stevenson and he turned his defender to cross for Thomas to seal his treble in the 41st minute.

City continued to dominate after the break and Whitmore claimed his very own assist hat-trick when he shared a classy one-two with Thomas to find Stevenson to tap home in the 48th minute.

Captain James Maddison added another as he curled a 25-yard free-kick into the bottom corner on the hour for his 7th goal of the season.

The Sky Blues have now scored 25 goals this season having only conceded seven in an incredible start to the 2014/15 season.
