Ronee Hendricks' second-half goal separates the two sides as City grab their first win of the season...
Coventry City Under-18s were winners at the weekend as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 away from home on Saturday.
Ronee Hendricks netted his first goal for the club as City picked up their first win of the new season.
The Sky Blues were a real threat on the counter attack and could have had the lead with a few stray chances in the first-half.
But City got the crucial goal midway through the second-half when Hendricks popped up in the area to hit a great effort across the goalkeeper.
After that, the Sky Blues showed great resilience in keeping hold of that lead as they had to deal with an abundance of Palace pressure.
But the Sky Blues recorded their first win of the campaign with a superb rearguard performance.
Academy manager Richard Stevens said: "We had a really young side against an experienced Palace 18s side. They were full of 18s players and we had largely 16s.
"They all showed an excellent attitude to defend properly when put under pressure, it was a real character building performance."
