The Sky Blues seal three wins in a row after a dramatic nine-goal thriller on Good Friday at the Alan Higgs Centre...

Coventry City Under-18s made it three wins on the bounce with a 5-4 victory over Barnsley at the Alan Higgs Centre.

The Sky Blues went into the game on the back of impressive away victories against Cardiff City and Millwall.

Striker Bassala Sambou scored a hat-trick of penalties for the Sky Blues, who came from behind twice during the first-half, and goals from Kyle Finn and Ronee Hendricks added to the scoreline.

Jason Farndon's side face a busy end of season fixture list with five games in three weeks now, but the coach was delighted with the result.

Farndon said: "It was a really good win for the game and they thoroughly deserved it as I felt we were much the better side.

"It was a difficult game for us to manage really and the pace of the game was very quick so goals seemed to be flying in at either end.

"The players really went for it in the second-half though and it's good to see the side getting the results they deserve with three wins on the spin now.

"With had a few players return from injury and after the little lull we had after the end of the Youth Cup run, it's good to see us back to our best.

"We've a really busy few weeks now with games against Charlton Athletic, Sheffield United and Crewe Alexandra coming up but they'll go into those games full of confidence."
