The League Two side have added to their squad in the summer with former Forest Green midfielder Jan Klukowski and former AFC Wimbledon defender Darren Jones two of four new signings for the Welsh side.

County retained a strong squad from last season and will be looking up the League Two table next season as County continue to progress as a Football League club.

The 22-year old processed through the City youth ranks and made his debut for the Sky Blues in August 2009 against Hartlepool United in the League Cup.

Jeffers was released by the club at the end of the 2012/13 season having featured heavily for City's Under-21s side.

The striker is still waiting to score his first League goal for the Exiles and is likely to play against the Sky Blues tonight.

The defender moved to Newport in 2011 and played a crucial role in Newport's promotion to the Football League.

After 100 appearances for the Exiles, Pipe signed a two-year deal at Conference side Forest Green Rovers in May.
