Coventry City take on Portsmouth tomorrow night at Havant and Waterlooville seeking their first win of the pre-season schedule.

The game, which kicks off at 7.30 at Westleigh Park, could see the Sky Blues reunited with two former players who have over 350 appearances for the club combined.

PLAYED FOR BOTH

Adam Barton and Michael Doyle both made the move down south this summer and are expected to play some part in the fixture.

Doyle joined Pompey after his contract expired at Sheffield United. City were linked with the veteran midfielder in the summer, but the man who made 297 appearances for the Sky Blues moved to Fratton Park.

Barton joined Paul Cook's men after leaving City in July.

The 24-year old was a regular for the Sky Blues in the run-in last season and helped Tony Mowbray's men stay in League One, playing consecutively in the last six games of the campaign.

Both players will be hoping to extend Portsmouth's good run against City.

HEAD TO HEAD

In the last four games between the two sides, Pompey have won twice. The first of those wins was back in 2011 in the Championship, when Greg Halford and Joel Ward netted either side of a Lukas Jutkiewicz strike.

The second of those wins came in the last game between the pair, with Jed Wallace and Patrick Agyemang giving Portsmouth a 2-0 win in League One. City's only win of the last four games came in 2012, when goals from Gary McSheffrey and Oliver Norwood earned a 2-0 victory.

City have won 17 of the 41 all-time meetings, with Pompey winning 15 and the other nine being draws.
