City have brought in the former Barnet man on a short-term deal after impressing manager Steven Pressley...

Coventry City have signed midfielder Mark Marshall on a short-term deal until June 3, 2014.

The 26-year old has had previous spells at Swindon Town and Hereford United before being released by Barnet in 2012.

Marshall has trained with the club over the past week and has impressed manager Steven Pressley.

The City boss said: "From the period he has been training with the club, he has very much impressed us, not only with his ability but his hunger as well.

"He has had a lot of interest from other clubs so we are delighted that he has chosen to sign with us until the end of the season as it will give us a chance to fully assess him.

"Mark's fitness is also very good so we expect him to challenge for a starting spot straight away."
