Coventry City midfielder Mark Marshall has revealed 'he would love to stay at the club' after his deal expires at the end of the 2013/14 League One season.
The City winger joined the club as a free agent in February after two years out of the game after he left Barnet in 2012.
The 26-year old has made 13 appearances for City this season and endeared himself to the City faithful after some of his all-energy performances.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Marshall has thanked the City fans for 'embracing' him during his time at the club.
The winger said: "Sometimes, I still find that I'm pinching myself when I'm out on the pitch. I think what I've done is a massive achievement.
"I think the season almost needs to finish so I can look back on it and finally realise how well I've done. But I still think there is more to come from me.
"I think a pre-season would be great for me. It gives you that extra fitness and the second wind players get in games. I've had to work on it during the season whilst other players just have it.
"I'm loving it here. When you get embraced by someone, you feel comfortable. I feel like the fans have embraced me here and because of that, I always go out looking to give my best for them."
City manager Steven Pressley revealed after the 1-1 draw against Wolves that he is set to discuss next season's budget with Development Director Steve Waggott after the season, where player's futures will be decided on.
With the final game of the season against Sheffield United on Saturday, Marshall is hoping he gets the chance to stay at Coventry City and progress into the 2014/15 season.
He added: "I'm looking forward to the next game. People will say that we're under no pressure but as a footballer, you always want to perform and push yourself to put in a good performance.
"We could almost treat it as the start to next season as going into the summer with a positive mind-set is crucial. We've got to look to kick-on next season and take what we've done well forward.
"I think the squad has had a great season overall but because the club has so many young players, it will only improve.
"I would love to stay here. There is no better feeling than how the fans have embraced me here. If I can stay here, then the sky is the limit or more like Sky Blue is the limit!"
