Coventry City Football Club will show support for two campaigns aimed at ridding football – and society – of prejudice.

The Sky Blues’ match against MK Dons on Saturday, February 28, is the club’s designated Kick It Out game for the season and, on the same day, City will also be supporting Football vs Homophobia.

There will be an opportunity for young supporters to design a Kick It Out poster in the Family Zone at the Ricoh Arena, players will warm-up in Kick It Out t-shirts and there will be a short video on the big screen at half-time.

The front page of the programme will also feature a design from one young fan after a competition to design the cover was organised by the club and Kick It Out and launched at a recent event which saw Reda Johnson and James Maddison attend Barrs Hill School.

Mark Hornby, head of marketing at Coventry City Football Club, said: “The club is committed to being at the forefront of these two excellent campaigns.

“A great deal of work has been done over the years to remove all forms of prejudice from football but we recognise that it is a battle that is never won.

“That’s why it’s vital to continue to support the campaigns in every way possible. Taking the message to local schoolchildren and our own young supporters is a very important part of that.”

Tickets for the match against MK Dons are now available online, at the CCFC Superstore at the Gallagher Retail Park or over the phone on 024 7699 2326 or 024 7699 2332.
