Coventry City have received a bye to the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The Sky Blues, who are in the southern section of the tournament, will now automatically qualify from round one which will take place the week commencing August 31st.
The other League One in the southern section are Milwall, Swindon, Colchester, Peterborough, Gillingham and Southend, with both the Gills and the Shrimpers also receiving byes to the second round.
Last season, the Sky Blues reached the Arena Semi-Final of the competition, but were defeated by eventual winners Bristol City 2-0 at Ashton Gate.
