Coventry City defender Jordan Willis believes that his recent appearances at left-back will help his development.
The 20-year old has made 30 appearances for City this season, but has played in the last two league games on the left hand side away from his favoured right and centre-back positions.
But Willis revealed that he is more than happy to shift out there if the manager needs him to.
He said: "I played at left-back towards the back end of last season. It's similar to right-back but obviously there are the major differences in footwork with the ball coming to your left more regularly.
"It's still the same basic principles, you get used to your body shape to show people different ways regardless of right or left-back.
"I've been asked to do a job there and I'm more than happy to do that if the manager needs me to.
"Its always good to cement a position week-in week-out, but playing all along the back four has been good for me to add that diversity to my game and keep learning."
The Sky Blues face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday having not played a game since the 1-1 draw with Scunthorpe last Monday.
Willis is eager for the side to get a result and build on the draw against Scunthorpe, revealing that the team are working on scoring more goals in training ahead of the hectic end of season schedule.
"Saturday is a big game for us and we need a result," Willis said.
"The results haven't been the best recently but we're working on scoring more goals in training. The lads are still confident and the mood is still good, you can't afford to beat yourself up when things go wrong.
"We need a result and the lads are working really hard ahead of the game."
