Coventry City defender Jordan Clarke has revealed he hopes to score as many goals as possible following the 2-2 draw against Barnsley.
Striker Josh McQuoid put City ahead after just three minutes with a neat finish for his first Coventry City goal before Conor Hourihane curled a 25-yard free kick inside Sky Blues' keeper Ryan Allsop's near post on the half hour.
Clarke then smashed home City's second after a set piece from Jim O'Brien to restore City's lead but Leroy Lita nodded home an un-tidy second leveler from close range on the stroke of half time.
The City defender was delighted to get his first goal of the season against the Tykes but admitted he could have scored more on the night.
Clarke said: "I'm happy to get on the score-sheet so early on in the season as I've had a few chances in other games so it's good to get off the mark.
"I could have scored a few more tonight as the keeper made a great save from one of my headers and another one was cleared off the line. But it is good to see I'm getting those chances.
"We had the chances to win the game but if you look over the last two games, we've taken four points from two teams who were tipped for promotion coming into the season.
"We've had two positive results from two sides who will be up there this season so as a team, I think we can be positive going forward."
Steven Pressley's side now face three away consecutive games against MK Dons, Swindon Town and Wycombe Wanderers in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
One player who will bolster the City side for the three games is new signing Simeon Jackson and Clarke admitted he was surprised and pleased to see the former Norwich City striker join the club.
He added: "I remember playing against him when he played for Norwich City and he is a very sharp striker. He is a player who causes defences all sorts of problems.
"I'll admit I was quite surprised to see him come through the door and we'll all very pleased to see someone with that quality join the club.
"It gives the squad a real boost whenever you see a player come through the door, especially quality players. He is a goal-scorer and a great poacher so he will definitely add to the squad.
"It sets up quite nicely for MK Dons and we always take a big following to their place. If they can be our 12th man, I'm sure we can go and get another positive result there."
