Coventry City Under-18s coach Jason Farndon has revealed full-back Darragh Leahy could make his debut against Birmingham City tomorrow.
The Sky Blues signed the Republic of Ireland Under-17 international from St. Kevin Boys Club (Dublin) in January.
The club hope to get international clearance today or tomorrow morning ahead of the home game against Birmingham City at the Alan Higgs Centre, with kick-off at 11am.
Farndon has also confirmed he will look to rest striker George Thomas who has been involved with the Under-21s and first-team this week.
The City coach said: "We've got a few coming back from injury this week which is great so we'll be stronger than we were last week.
"George Thomas will probably be rested for the game as he's been involved with the first-team and performed brilliantly for the Under-21s this week.
"We've still got a couple of back injuries in the group but they're making good progress so slowly getting back to full strength.
"We may have Darragh Leahy tomorrow for the first time. We're just waiting on a bit of paperwork so fingers crossed he'll be included tomorrow."
The Under-18s travel to Wast Hills in January and recorded an impressive 2-1 win over Birmingham City with goals from Bassala Sambou and Jordan Shipley.
Farndon says the side can take a lot of confidence from that result but wants an improvement on last week's performance against Sheffield Wednesday.
He continued: "The players always enjoy this fixture because the players know each other pretty well and have played them constantly through the years.
"It's a big game for the boys. We were disappointed after last week as we didn't think we did ourselves justice with the goals we conceded.
"We can defend better than that but these things happen in Under-18s football and luckily, Birmingham and Huddersfield lost as well so no change in the league.
"We got a great result at their place in January against an excellent Birmingham City side and we'll be looking for the same again."
