Coventry City Under-21s coach Ian Foster has praised striker Callum Wilson on his return from injury for the Under-21s.
The Sky Blues shared the points with Wednesday in a 2-2 draw at Ryton training ground thanks to goals from Dylan McGeouch and Ryan Haynes.
Wilson played in the first 45 minutes of the game as he looks to return to first-team action against Shrewsbury Town at the weekend.
Foster believes the City striker had a positive influence on the game but has also praised the club's medical department for his speedy recovery.
The Under-21s coach said: "I said to the players before the game that they should relish the opportunity to play with Callum and I think it was a major boost to the side.
"Callum was fantastic. His enthusiasm and work-rate in the game was there for all to see. I think everyone at the club has been lifted by the recovery he has made.
"The club's medical department, Dave Hart and Pauline Robertson, deserve a huge amount of praise because to see Callum come back from a dislocated shoulder so soon is incredible.
"Those two have worked wonders with him and I'm sure he is eager to get back on the pitch for the first-team now."
City will feel as though they should have recorded a victory against Wednesday after Mark Marshall and substitute George Thomas missed late chances.
Despite the draw, Foster was happy with the performance and believes there were many positives in the performance.
He added: "It was disappointing to draw the game as they haven't had many in the game whilst we've dominated for the most part.
"There were plenty of positives in the game though. The intensity we played at was terrific. We've played some great football, linking the play from back to front.
"A lot of the players haven't had much game-time this year so it was important to see the likes of Ben Maund, Louis Garner and Ryan Haynes get some valuable minutes.
"They want to play football matches but based on the performance of certain players today, they're is no reason why they can't be knocking on the door of the first-team."
