Sky Blues pre-season tour friendly with Go Ahead Eagles cancelled at request of local police
Coventry City Football Club can confirm the scheduled pre-season friendly with Go Ahead Eagles on Tuesday, July 16th during the club’s pre-season tour of Holland has been cancelled at the request of local police.
Steve Waggott, Coventry City development director, said: “We have been informed by our appointed tour agent that our game with Go Ahead Eagles has been called off because of police concerns over crowd safety.
“We are now seeking to find out if that will impact on any of our other tour games.
“Our tour operator is currently working to secure a replacement fixture as soon as possible to fit in with our schedule. We will let supporters know as soon as anything is confirmed.”
