2014/15 Season Ticket holder George Ireland wins massive Sky Blues prize!

16 May 2014

Coventry City supporter George Ireland has scooped a huge pile of ‘money can’t buy’ prizes after signing up for a 2014/15 Season Ticket

Teenage Coventry City supporter George Ireland will get to stand shoulder to shoulder with his heroes after landing a major prize with the club!

The 15-year-old, who attends Finham Park School, signed up for his 2014/15 Season Ticket with the Sky Blues before May 5 and was entered into a draw to win a host of ‘money can’t buy’ prizes with the club.

The young City fan, who attended his first game on Boxing Day 2004, got the call from the club this week to let him know his name had been drawn out as the winner.

He will now get his name on the squad list on the matchday programme for the coming season as well as a place on the team photo.

George will also spend a day at the training ground with a guest where they will watch training and then have lunch with the squad and management.

He’s also won a 2013/15 home shirt, with his name and squad number, the new, yet to be revealed, away shirt with his name and squad number, an extra Season Ticket, and the chance to present an award at the 2014/15 End Of Season dinner as well as a host of other prizes.

George said: “I still can’t believe it. Coventry City is my life. I’m 15 and I’ve supported them ever since I was born – my dad didn’t give me any other choice!

“I’m so happy he made me become a Coventry City fan. A few of my mates support bigger clubs but that’s boring to me because it’s much more exciting being a City fan.

“We have our highs and lows but look at last season – everyone thought we would get relegated at the start, then we played some really exciting football and got up close to the play-offs but, in the end, did really well to stay up after the minus ten points. Steven Pressley deserves massive credit for that.

“I’m looking forward to all the prizes but having my name on the squad list is something I’ve always dreamed of and being on the team photo will be amazing.

“I’ll also be able to tell Steven Pressley in person how grateful I am for the job he has done when I have lunch with him!”

To follow on from the competition, the club has now launched a weekly prize offer for supporters who sign up for the 2014/15 season.

With each week that passes, prizes will be chosen by winning fans and then eliminated from the offer.

The prizes include:
