Coventry City have completed the signing of striker Frank Nouble on a deal until June 2015, subject to Football League approval.

The 23-year old had his contract terminated at Championship side Ipswich Town this week, allowing the striker to move to the Sky Blues on a free transfer.

Nouble, who has represented England at Under-17 and Under-19 levels, started his career at Chelsea where he worked his way through the youth ranks before rejecting a professional deal in favour of a long-term deal at West Ham United in 2009.

The Lewisham-born striker spent three years at Upton Park where he made ten first-team appearances amongst a series of loan moves before being signed by Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2012 and then Ipswich Town in January 2013.

Nouble joined City on loan in September 2014 and has made 15 appearances for the Sky Blues this season, scoring four goals, including a decisive strike in the remarkable 3-2 win over Peterborough United.

The City boss has called on the former Chelsea forward to continue his progression at the club and praised his attitude in recent weeks.

Pressley said: "We're delighted to get Frank signed up until the end of the season. During his time at the club, we believe he has shown that he has the potential to develop into a Coventry City player.

"The deal is only until the end of the season and this is a pivotal period in Frank's career. He must show the supporters and myself during this period that he is worthy of a longer term deal."
