The Sky Blues striker believes City can mount a play-off push in the second-half to the season and hopes to progress here...

Coventry City striker Frank Nouble has stated he could stay at the club longer than the end of the 2014/15 season after signing for the Sky Blues.

The 23-year old striker signed a deal until June 2015 with the club following his contract termination at Ipswich Town.

Nouble joined the club on loan in September and has already 15 appearances for the Sky Blues, scoring four goals.

The City striker stated it was a 'no-brainer' to sign for the Sky Blues and has praised the City support.

Nouble said: "I've had a really good time here so it was a no-brainer. I spoke to the manager and it just confirmed why I wanted to stay here.

"Obviously, I've enjoyed playing games, it is a huge factor but I've really enjoyed being around the boys as it is a great dressing room here.

"There is a huge fan-base here and I want to finish what I've started. The fans have always been brilliant with me since I started here.

"There is a lot more to come from me though. I want to score at least 10 goals this season and help the team get up the league as we've got the quality to do so."

City boss Steven Pressley believes that it is a 'pivotal moment' in Frank's career having signed the permanent deal at the club.

Nouble agreed with the City boss and believes the Sky Blues can 'nick' a place in the play-offs if they can build momentum.

He added: "I've always thought I need a base where I can play and why not past this season. I'm here because I want to be here and I want to keep playing. I want to fulfil my potential.

"I think every time in my career is pivotal but I agree with the manager. I need to take my chances on the pitch and make sure I'm at my best.

"My deal is until the end of the season so it's important to me but it's really important for the club as well.

"I've got no doubt that we can nick a place in the play-offs, we just need to go on a really good run and build some momentum following the win over Walsall."
