Carl Dickinson was delighted to start his City loan spell with a win...

Coventry City defender Carl Dickinson says the fans can 'expect 110%' from him during his 28-day loan spell at the Sky Blues.

The left-back has been brought to the club as cover for Blair Adams, who was ruled out for a month after the Yeovil defeat.

He has moved to the club on a 28-day loan spell from Watford and he was part of a City defence who kept a crucial clean sheet during the 2-0 win at Bury.

Dickinson hopes to have a productive loan spell at City and was delighted to get started with a win.

The City loanee said: "I am hoping to have a good time here. I want to play games and get minutes under my belt so to move here was a good option for me.

"I haven't played an entire match for two months so I was probably on my 50th wind in the second half but it was great to keep a clean sheet.

"It was a good team performance from the side and it was crucial to get the win here.

"I want to make sure I give 110% for the club while I am here and impress the fans. I want to win the games I play and that is why I came here."

The former Stoke City player moved to the club on Tuesday, before former manager Mark Robins moved to Huddersfield Town.

Despite the manager's departure, Dickinson has praised the players and the staff for making him feel very welcome at the club.

He added: "It feels like I have been here a much longer time than a few days which shows me how well everyone has welcomed me to the club.

"I adapted well to the system in training and you can tell this is a side which can get promoted. If I can help that, it would be great.

"I wouldn't have been comfortable playing if I wasn't made feel welcome but that wasn't the case as I am enjoying being here.

"We have got a big game in the week and it is a game I want to be part of so it is important we improve on today's performance."
