Coventry City midfielder Dylan McGeouch hopes his performances for the Under-21s can result in more first-team opportunities.
The Celtic loanee played the entire 90 minutes against Huddersfield Town at the John Smith's Stadium in a 2-2 draw.
McGeouch scored City's second of the game to put the Sky Blues ahead and played a crucial role in Ryan Haynes' first-half strike.
Having impressed during the Terriers draw, which first-team manager Steven Pressley was watching, McGeouch hopes to get an opportunity in the final four games of the League One season.
The 21-year old said: "Minutes on the pitch are really valuable to be as it is a good chance to get the fitness up.
"I've had a few first-team appearances lately and I'm sure my performances for the Under-21s have helped me. Just before I came down to Coventry, I had an injury.
"I was still recovering from it slightly so every time I get 90 minutes under my belt, then it is always a positive. I want to play every game.
"I hope the manager thought I done well against Huddersfield. It is a big boost to the side to know he is watching. If I get into that first-team from now until the end of the season, it would be great."
McGeouch has been one of the senior players in the Under-21s squad with City having a young squad this season.
The Scottish Under-21 midfielder has been impressed with the standard from the young squad this season and believes they've progressed this season.
He added: "We've passed the ball around really well today and played some good football but somehow not won the game.
"It is strange how well we've played this season and not got the results. We've conceded poor goals today, even though they've barely had a chance.
"They're a great group of lads who have the confidence to take the ball down and pass it around, not just put it into the air.
"Everyone is confident in taking the ball under pressure which is a major part of football. There should be a few players in this squad who will have a bright future."
