Coventry City midfielder Billy Daniels has flew out to Germany this morning to have a hernia operation.

The Academy graduate has made eight appearances this season, scoring three goals, after signing a new two-year deal with the club in the summer.

The 19-year old has also played a crucial part in the Under-21s fixtures this season and picked up the injury whilst playing in the 2-0 defeat against Huddersfield on October 15th.

City boss Steven Pressley commented after the Walsall match: "Billy (Daniels) is off for his operation and the procedure will take place on Wednesday.

"We are hoping he will be back in contention in a couple of weeks as he has given us a valuable option already this season."
