Coventry City’s Tony Mowbray believes that the recent performances of the team can only lead to “positive things” for the club’s future.
The results over the past few weeks have seen City climb five points away from the League One relegation zone, while setting a club record of four consecutive away clean sheets.

The weekend’s 0-0 draw against Bristol City is 'a good marker to show how far the team has come' according to the boss and he believes if the performances continue in the same vein then the club can really progress.
"I am delighted to be back doing what I think I do best and I have enjoyed the experience so let's see what the future brings,” Mowbray said.
"I have felt the performance levels of the team have been improving over the weeks and if we can continue in that mould I can only see positive things.
"We had no fears going to Bristol City and hopefully that's a measure for the group that we can go to a team ten points clear at the top and believe we can get a win.
"If we do survive, we won’t be celebrating. This is Coventry City, we’re not celebrating survival in League One.
“We should be looking forward to improving in all aspects and getting the club back into the Championship.”
Part of that future progress will be James Maddison, a player which “excites” Mowbray.
But those fans clamouring for the young maestro to start against Crewe may be disappointed as the manager is looking to keep the same formula which has seen the Sky Blues unbeaten in their last four games.
Maddison is expected to play for the Under-21s today and the manager continued: “James Maddison is a player that excites me.
"I really enjoy watching him in training, but in this situation he has to keep his head down in the dressing room and continue to listen and learn.
"He's as close this week to starting as he was last week. I don't think we need to change for change sake. We've done OK. He's not far away.
"He'll play half a game for the Under-21s today so there's an insight as to whether he's likely to start or not."
