The City boss has urged the City fans to to turn up in their numbers for the first game at the Ricoh Arena against Gillingham...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley believes the club's return to the Ricoh Arena will be a defining moment in the club's history.

The Sky Blues boss, who saw his side recently beat Sheffield United and draw against Barnsley, took the chance to look around the Ricoh Arena this afternoon after the deal was announced.

City will return to the Ricoh Arena on Friday, September 5th against Gillingham in League One and Pressley has urged the City faithful to turn up in their numbers.

Pressley said: "I'm delighted to see the club return to the Ricoh Arena. I'm delighted for the fans and everybody connected with the football club. 

"It is a huge and defining day for the football club. We can now look forward to a brighter future with Coventry City Football Club back in it's rightful home.

"I believe we are building a strong squad for the 2014/15 League One campaign and to play in front of our home fans in our city will only help us achieve success.

"I hope to see as many fans as possible at our first home game back at the Ricoh Arena against Gillingham."
