Coventry City manager Steven Pressley was 'utterly disappointed' after the Sky Blues lost 3-1 to Gillingham at Priestfield.Gary Madine scored from the spot after Danny Swanson was fouled to send City one up. But goals from John Marquis, a last minute Cody McDonald penalty and Jermaine McGlashan in added time completed the turnaround for the Kent side.
Pressley felt that City deserved their first half lead, but was disappointed with the next 45 minutes that followed.
"I'm extremely disappointed, I'm numb after that," he said. "In the first half we were so comfortable. For us to go from that to our second half performance was unacceptable.
"I talked before about making moments and we did that in the first half when Danny won his penalty and Gary put it away. But then it all changed after half time.
"We made some really poor decisions in the second half and we really now have to understand the predicament we are in and get ourselves out of it.
"The last 15 minutes was just unacceptable. We weren't strong mentally, these are the type of games that we have to see out and we didn't do it.
"We are sucked right into it now, into the danger area. We have to react quickly now."
The game turned in the last minute after McGlashan was judged to have been fouled by Ryan Haynes for the Gills' penalty.
Pressley believes the referee and linesman got the decision wrong, but was quick to point out that the team should not have been in that situation in the first place.
He continued: "It was a great challenge from Ryan. The ball has moved completely in the opposite direction, it is not a penalty.
"I've seen it again and I can assure you that he is wrong. However we should never have been in that situation in the first place, and it is disappointing that we were."
