Coventry City manager Steven Pressley admits that he gets on well with Mark Robins, who returns to the Ricoh Arena tonight for the first time since leaving the club.

Robins managed the Sky Blues between 2012 and 2013, before joining Huddersfield Town.

The former Sky Blues manager will also bring former City players Jordan Clarke and Gary McSheffrey with him to the Ricoh, and Pressley believes that they will all have a point to prove against his side.

"Mark has gone in there and acquitted himself really well," Pressley said.

"He did a fantastic job at this football club in a short period of time and earned an opportunity in the Championship. Everybody speaks fondly of him here, he's a good man who I've met out on my travels and got on excpetionally well with him.

"I would think that Jordan and Gary would have a point to prove. Jordan had a good season last season and now finds himself playing there. It was similar with Gary, he was here for a short period during my time and seems to be performing well so both players coming back desperately wanting to prove any doubters wrong."

Despite losing to Preston at the weekend, Pressley believes he saw enough from the game to suggest that City can regain their form in the league.

The manager says he can feel a confidence returning to the team and has branded tonight's game a cup final, and says between now and the end of the season every game is equally as important.

He added: "We're welcoming some old players but my concern is that we continue to apply ourselves. I feel an excitement about tomorrow's game and I hope we can find that result.

"We need to start getting results, particularly at home. I do believe we're close to being a good outfit and can feel a confidence returning to us.

"I look at every game between now and the end of the season as a cup final, and tonight is no different."
