Coventry City goalkeeper Ryan Allsop believes that his time with the Sky Blues has gone well and he hopes to take his current good form into tomorrow's SkyBet League One game against Fleetwood Town at the Ricoh Arena.Allsop has been a key part of a City defence that has conceded just once in four league games, as the Sky Blues look to make it back-to-back wins for the first time since September.
Although Allsop is unsure whether his loan spell will be extended past January, he is enjoying his time in the Midlands as well as working with legendary goalkeeping coach Steve Ogrizovic.
"Tomorrow we will look to carry on the good form," he said. "It's 11 points out of 18 now and four clean sheets for me in the last six games.
"I'm pleased with that because it is what I always go out there to do. As a squad, we are taking each game as it comes and we will see where it takes us.
"I don't know what is going to happen past January, that is something for Eddie Howe (Bournemouth manager) and Steven Pressley to talk about between themselves. At the moment, I am enjoying my time.
"It's been great and beneficial so far, I've got 20 games under my belt which is great as I'm still young and learning.
"Working with Oggy has been great too. He is a great coach and I have learned so much. He works me so hard in training but that is how he improves you!"
City return to the Ricoh Arena which has had a new pitch laid since their last game against Walsall. Allsop is hopeful that the new turf will help the Sky Blues' game and that they can play the football they work on in training.
He continued: "The new pitch is a little but of a boost. The pitches at Sky Blue Lodge are great and hopefully it will mean that we can play our stuff and start to pass it around.
"We like to play football and not route one stuff, the pitch will allow us to play our natural game a bit more, like we have sometimes showed away from home.
"The old pitch affected me a little in terms of pass backs, I may have mis-kicked a few! But you can't make excuses, although it will be good to play on a newly laid pitch, that will hopefully be beneficial to our performances at home."
