There have been many connections between the Sky Blues and the Posh over the years, including a former Sky Blues manager...

Coventry City travel to Peterborough United in a SkyBet League One clash and are looking to make it three away wins in a row.

The Posh and the Sky Blues have had many men feature for both clubs over the years and here are some that are connected, starting with a former Sky Blues boss...

Connections
Aidy Boothroyd

Before retiring in 1998, Boothroyd had a two-year spell at Peterborough United and made 26 appearances for the Posh.

Boothroyd moved into management and became manager of Coventry City in 2010 but was sacked in March 2011 after a poor run of results.

Danny Swanson

Having made his name north of the border with Dundee United, Swanson signed for Peterborough United in 2012 and made 30 appearances over a two-year spell.

This summer, Swanson signed for the Sky Blues on a free transfer and made 15 appearances for the Sky Blues. He is currently on loan at St Johnstone in the SPFL.

Trevor Benjamin

The Football League journeyman, who played for 29 different teams during his career, moved to Coventry City in 2005 and made 12 appearances for City, scoring one goal.

After a short spell at City, Benjamin moved to Peterborough United in 2006 and he made 47 appearances, scoring eight goals for the Posh over a two-year spell. He went on to launch his own brand of Goalkeeping gloves after retirement, called Locust UK.

Terry Bly

After starting his career in non-league, Peterborough United signed Bly from Norwich City in 1960 and scored an incredible 81 goals in 88 appearances.

His form over his two-year Posh spell attracted the attention of Coventry City who signed Bly in 1962 and Bly scored 25 goals in 32 games. He retired in 1970 and died in 2009.

Gregor Rioch

Having started his career at Luton Town, Rioch moved to Peterborough United in 1995 and made 19 appearances for the Posh.

Rioch moved into coaching after retirement and became the Coventry City Academy Manager in 2007 and oversaw the progression of the likes of Gael Bigirimana, Callum Wilson and Cyrus Christie. He left in December 2013.
