In the 12 days leading up to Christmas we're giving Sky Blues supporters a '12 days of Christmas' feature, where every day in the build up to the big day we'll be reflecting on legends and big matches, as well as offering some fantastic competitions to celebrate the festive period. On Day Two of our 12 day countdown, we celebrate a truly memorable Away Day, when nearly 7,000 of the Sky Blue Army descended on Milton Keynes and Chris Maguire scored two special goals to mark the occasion...

An unprecedented 7,000 City supporters made the trip to Stadium:MK in November 2013, and they rewarded as the Sky Blues won 3-1 against a promotion chasing MK Dons side.

The official figure stands at 6,781, however the traveling Sky Blue Army made the noise of 20,000 as they packed the stand behind the goal. Something special seemed to be in the air as the record number of away supporters at Stadium:MK was broken by City.

The game started evenly, however City suffered a massive blow just before half time when Shaun Williams sent the Dons 1-0 from the spot after Dan Seaborne was judged to have pushed over Ben Reeves.

The Sky Blue Army never stopped believing and willed the team on and their support was rewarded when loanee Chris Dagnall equalised when his shot was deflected past the keeper.

The momentum appeared to be with City, however the Dons remained resilient and the game looked to be heading towards a stalemate, until a free kick was awarded to the Sky Blues 30 yards from goal with four minutes remaining.

After what seemed like an eternity for those watching, Chris Maguire stepped up and delivered one of the goals of the season to send the City fans wild.

If that wasn't enough, Maguire then had a chance to repeat the feat with just minutes remaining. He did just that, sending the ball into the top corner for the second time. The result took City into the top half of the table, an amazing achievement as City started the season on minus ten points.
