As the Sky Blues face Wycombe Wanderers tonight in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, there are a number of players who have pulled on the shirt for both sides. We take a closer look at them.
Tonight is only the third time the two teams have met. A two legged affair in the League Cup saw Coventry win 5-4 on aggregate in 1993. The Sky Blues won 3-0 in the first leg at Highfield Road, with goals coming from Steve Morgan and the legendary Micky Quinn.
Wanderers won 4-2 in the second leg at Adams Park, but it wasn't enough to pull back the deficit and the Sky Blues progressed to the third round, where they were knocked out by Oldham Athletic.
Connections
Cyrille Regis
A key member of the 1987 FA Cup winning side, Regis was one of the most popular figures at City during the 1980's.
Signed by manager Bobby Gould in 1984 from West Brom, Regis went on to make 274 appearances for the Sky Blues, scoring 62 goals.
In that time he helped the Sky Blues achieve three top ten finishes, get to a League Cup semi-final in 1990 and win the 1987 FA Cup final.
After spells at Aston Villa and Wolves, Regis spent one season at Wycombe in 1994. He scored nine goals during his time with Wanderers in League One.
Scott Shearer
The Glasgow-born keeper started his career at Albion Rovers, which is where the Sky Blues signed him from in 2003.
Shearer spent two seasons at City, and was used mainly as a back-up to Luke Steele. He still managed to make 38 appearances, and earned himself a call up to the Scotland B team.
In 2007 he was signed by Wanderers from Bristol Rovers, and established himself in the first team. He made 63 appearances in three seasons, and was named in the League Two team of the season in 2009, after recovering from a serious ankle injury.
Franck Moussa
A more recent Sky Blue, Moussa is very well known to City Fans, and will always be remembered for that goal against Leyton Orient last season, which won goal of the year as voted by viewers of Soccer AM.
Moussa started his career at Southend, and it was in 2008 when he signed for Wanderers on loan. He appeared nine times for the Chairboys, but failed to score.
After a frustrating time for Leicester he signed for City in 2012, and soon became known for dynamic displays and spectacular goals. All in all he scored 18 goals in 77 games, before leaving for Charlton in the summer.
The strikes against Orient, and the last minute equaliser at Preston will be remembered well by any Sky Blues fan who saw it.
