A Sky Blues FA Cup final goalscorer was on the books at Chesterfield alongside duo who scored 32 goals for City last season...
Coventry City look to get back to winning ways in League One against Chesterfield tomorrow at the Ricoh Arena.
The Sky Blues have shared many famous faces down the years with the Spireites and we look at some of the players who've played for both clubs.
LEON CLARKE
Current Wolves striker Clarke had a spell at Chesterfield while at Swindon Town in 2011. The forward made 14 league appearances at the Spireites and scored nine goals in an impressive stint at the Proact Stadium. Clarke arguably had the best spell of his recent career with the Sky Blues, before he moved to Molineux in January last year.
KEITH HOUCHEN
Arguably the most significant player in the Sky Blues’ history, Houchen started his career as a trainee with Chesterfield. He didn’t earn a professional contract there, but we all know how his career would pan out, becoming a City legend as he scored the famous headed goal to equalise in the FA Cup final.
FRANK MOUSSA
While at Leicester City, Moussa was loaned to the Proact Stadium in 2012 where he made an impressive impact with the Spireites. He made 11 starts and scored four goals, before returning to the Foxes. Moussa then joined City where he found his best form last campaign, scoring 14 goals including screamers against Preston, Leyton Orient and Port Vale.
