Coventry City defender Chris Stokes was delighted with his home debut for the club, saying it "couldn't have gone much better."
Stokes completed his first 90 minutes for the Sky Blues and was kept busy during the 2-1 win over MK Dons.
The 23-year old scored the opener against the Dons after just eight minutes and was part of a solid back-four performance which saw City record their first win since January.
He hailed it as a dream to play at the Ricoh Arena and was delighted to get the result after a second-half of rearguard action.
"It was absolutely brilliant," Stokes said.
"We had to dig in but we did and it's great to get this result against a top side.
"We had to keep it solid, keep it nice and narrow and really give our all, everyone is delighted.
"I was just praying to get through it, obviously I went off last weekend but I tried to dig in, I didn't want to go off and gave my all for the team.
"With my goal I can't remember much of it to be honest, I headed the back of his head and it hurt! But I didn't have a clue and ran off celebrating, I was overcome with emotion.
"That was our game plan, to get on the front foot as they like to play from the back and the second goal is proof of that, Flecky nicked it and Dominic hit a good finish.
"Playing at the Ricoh is what I dreamed of, my home debut couldn't have gone any better really!"
The defender, who signed on loan for the Sky Blues last week, has already seen a lot during his early days with the club.
Stoke admitted that it has been a weird week following the departure of Steven Pressley but wants the side to build momentum and take something from Barnsley on Tuesday night.
He continued: "It was a weird week, we did really well at Sheffield United and then the manager left, Monday was horrible. But we got our heads down and Neil, Dave and Oggy have been fantastic - we worked hard on our gameplan through the week.
"The dressing room is jubilant, everybody is buzzing but it's one win. We have gone out of the relegation zone but we need another good result at Barnsley to keep climbing up the table.
"It's two games in three days, but when you win the game you don't feel the tiredness, we're looking forward to Tuesday now."
