'Can't wait for the next game' - Moussa

20 August 2013

Franck Moussa admits he is enjoying playing for Steven Pressley's free-scoring City side...

Coventry City have started the 2013-14 League One season in tremendous goal-scoring form, notching 11 goals in their first three league games.

The last time City achieved that feat was in the 1963-64 season when the Sky Blues went on to win the Third Division Championship, scoring 98 goals in the process.

Callum Wilson, Leon Clarke, Billy Daniels and Franck Moussa have all scored three goals this season, including the 3-2 defeat against Leyton Orient in the Capital One Cup.

Moussa, who has started all four games so far this season, admits it is exciting to be playing for Steven Pressley’s side and can’t wait for the next game to come.

The 24-year old said: “There is no greater feeling than scoring a goal for your team so I have really enjoyed this season so far.

“We are scoring plenty of goals at the moment and creating loads of opportunities which means it is pretty exciting to play in the side.

“We have won the last two games with two good performances. I am happy to be scoring myself and at the moment, I can’t wait for the next game to come.”

The Belgian playmaker joined the club last September on a short-term deal under Mark Robins.

He added: “We started very strongly on Saturday and it set the tone from there. We didn’t give them a chance to recover and kept pressing.

“We probably could have scored a few more actually. It is a long way to travel so to start the way we did is really encouraging.

“Even when we went four goals up, we didn’t let them rest. That is something the manager has been asking us to do. We are told to be aggressive and if there is a chance to score a goal, we should take it.”
