Coventry City Under-18s continued their unbeaten start to the 2014/15 season with a defiant 2-2 draw against Brentford.
The Sky Blues started the game in confident fashion but the away side took a surprise lead in the 8th minute after a unfortunate slip from Jake Richards resulted in Joshua Bashui's chipped finish.
Jason Farndon's side responded positively to going behind and equalised in the 21st minute after an incisive through-ball from Jacob Whitmore.
The City right wing-back found space to deliver the perfect through-ball to striker George Thomas who lobbed the keeper to equalise.
On the stroke of half-time, City were dealt a blow when they were reduced to ten men following Dion Kelly-Evans' second-bookable offence.
Brentford seized the man advantage almost instantly after half-time as Jeremiah Kamanzi slid Parish free and he kept his nerve to curl past Richards from 15 yards.
The away side also had man sent off for a second-bookable offence and the Sky Blues took advantage soon after.
City made sure they kept their unbeaten record intact when James Maddison found the bottom corner with a direct 20-yard free-kick in the 65th minute.
The Sky Blues dominated the final stages of the game and had late chances to win the game when Ben Stevenson hit the bar late on.
Coventry City Under-18s coach Jason Farndon said: "Happy with the character shown by the players having played with a man disadvantage for 20 minutes.
"It shows we've got the mental strength and the spirit to get through challenges. We were really disappointed with just the draw after the game which shows the standards the team aspires to.
"It was a non-physical game for the amount of cards shown and I was disappointed with the amount of cards which were shown to both sides."
