Coventry City complete loan signing of defender Aaron Martin from Yeovil Town

Sky Blues bring back centre-half for his second loan spell with the club from the Glovers until January 2015

Coventry City have completed the loan signing of defender Aaron Martin from League One side Yeovil Town until January 5th, 2015.

The 25-year-old, who has made 14 appearances and scored three goals for the Glovers so far this season after signing in the summer, begins his second loan spell with the ?Sky Blues having first joined from former club Southampton for the second half of the 2012/13 campaign.

The centre-half, who lined up for Yeovil in City's 2-1 win at the Ricoh Arena back in September, goes straight into contention for the trip to Leyton Orient this Saturday.

City boss Steven Pressley said he was delighted to finally be able to bring in a player he tried to acquire in the summer.

"Aaron first arrived at the club a couple of weeks before I took the job here and during that short spell he definitely impressed me," Pressley said.

"We tried to bring him back to the club on a permanent deal this summer so I'm delighted that we've been able to revisit discussions with him and bring him back to the club on a loan basis.

"It has been a mutually beneficial arrangement between ourselves and Yeovil Town in that we have been able to bring Aaron here while at the same time allow Jordan Clarke to go in the opposite direction in order to try and secure more regular first team football.

"In Aaron we now have another defensive player who can also pose a threat at the top end of the pitch, proven by the three goals he's already scored this season, so I'm excited by his arrival for a second spell with us."
