Coventry City close in on the 4,000 Season Tickets mark as the early bird deadline approaches

1 July 2015

The Sky Blues are still well ahead of schedule for season tickets but hope for more sales ahead of the early bird schedule...

Coventry City are approaching 4,000 Season Tickets sold as the early bird deadline approaches.

The club has sold 3,900 Season Tickets and have extended the deadline until this Sunday (July 5) to allow for the transition from the store at the Gallagher Retail Park to the new store at Arena Park.

The Sky Blues are aiming to hit 6,000 Season Tickets sold by the time the new campaign kicks off in August, with a target of attracting an average crowd of 11,000 for each game.

Chief executive Steve Waggott said: “We are nearly two-thirds of the way to the target and we will keep pushing right up to August 8 when we begin the season with an exciting first game against Wigan Athletic, who won the FA Cup only two years ago.

“Supporters don’t have long left to make the most of the early bird price, which ends this Sunday and I would urge fans to take advantage of one of the cheapest Season Tickets in our division.

“We’ve set the targets of 6,000 Season Ticket holders and 11,000 for an average attendance because we believe if we hit those numbers it will help us to put the type of team on the pitch that gives Tony Mowbray a real chance of success.

“We are getting closer and closer and we are anticipating a busy few days as the deadline approaches.”

The club introduced a flat rate for Season Tickets of £249 for adults who buy in the early-bird period, which is £96 cheaper than a standard zone Season Ticket last season and equates to less than £11 per match.

There is no longer a premium zone at the Ricoh Arena as blocks 19, 20 and 21 will enjoy standard zone pricing, while the family zone is moving to blocks 23 and 24 in the East Stand.

And the club’s commitment to attracting the next generation of Coventry City fans remains firm, with Junior Sky Blues (JSBs) under the age of 12 eligible for a free Season Ticket in the family zone.

JSBs aged between 12 and 16 have seen their Season Tickets in the family zone reduced to £23, which is just £1 per game.

Concessions Season Tickets have also dropped to £191 from £230 in the standard zone last season, and that equates to just over £8 per game.

Season Tickets are available online at www.ccfcshop.co.uk 24 hours a day and over the telephone on 024 7699 2326 from 9.30am until 5pm, Monday to Friday, as well as in-store.

Season Tickets will rise to full price as of Monday, July 6.
