1 July 2016

The Sky Blues have completed the signing of the former Derby County striker, as he becomes the first acquisition of the summer…

Kwame Thomas joins the Sky Blues from Championship side Derby County, subject to FA and Football League approval.

The striker has agreed terms with the Sky Blues on a two-year contract, taking him through to June 2018, after his summer release from the Rams.

A 20-year old striker, Thomas, had loan spells at Notts County and more recently Blackpool during 2015, making 22 appearances for the Tangerines during a four month stint.

Coventry City Manager, Tony Mowbray said: "Kwame is an exciting young striker, who will add pace and power to our attacking options.

"It's good to get the first signing of the summer over the line and I am looking forward to working with Kwame over the course of next season."
