The Sky Blues agree terms with Derby County for the services of highly-rated defender Farrand Rawson until the end of the 2016/17 season.Rawson has played three times for Derby in their Checkatrade Trophy campaign this term, and has spent two loan spells at fellow Championship side Rotherham United.
The 6ft 4' centre-half is the Sky Blues second loan acquisition of the January window, after scooping midfielder Callum Reilly from Burton Albion. Rawson will take the no.19 shirt.
Russell Slade said: “The signing of Farrend completes our recruitment in the defensive department and we’re delighted to have him on board.
“He is very mature player for such a young age and acquitted himself particularly well in the Championship with Rotherham.
“Farrend will once again strengthen our defensive options, and allows us to now turn our attention to recruiting in other areas of the pitch.”
