Rawson came through the ranks at Derby County, signing a professional contract in 2014 and teamed up with the Rams' U21 side ahead of the 2014-15 season.
The defender's first experience of senior football occurred in 2014, as Rawson was an unused substitute in the 1-0 win at Pride Park against now-League One side Charlton Athletic.
In March 2015, he signed for Championship club Rotherham United on a 28-day youth loan, making his debut the same day in a 2-0 away win against Huddersfield Town. His form during his brief stint in Yorkshire meant then-manager Steve Evans sought to extend his short-term loan deal.
Rawson scored his first senior goal for Huddersfield in a 1-1 draw with Charlton in September '15, but was subsequently recalled by Derby just a month after signing a further extension until the end of the season.
The centre-half has been an important figure for Derby U23s this term, captaining the side during his eight appearances and scoring in the 2-2 draw against heavyweights Chelsea in October.
