"It is only the lads in the building right now that can turn around the situation, so it is down to us." - Coventry City's Kevin Foley

Kevin Foley on the Sky Blues' League One fixture against the Lions on Saturday...

Defender Kevin Foley was one of seven new additions to Ryton in the Jan transfer window, but has had game time limited by injury since his arrival.

The ex-Republic of Ireland international has been out training this week and will undergo a fitness test ahead of Saturday's home clash with visiting side Millwall.

Foley said: “Results haven’t been good enough but we have a chance to change that tomorrow. It is only the lads in the building right now that can turn around the situation, so it is down to us.

“I detect a determination to get out of the relegation zone, especially because I have worked with the manager before. Although we are quite a young team everyone realises the situation we are in.

“It’s a great club, the manager shown us a few clips of recent history the other day in a meeting to show us where Coventry have been and where we are now, and we we have to do to get back to that.”

The Lions enter the tie unbeaten in nine games in all competitions, dating back to December, and have overcome two Premier League sides in their impressive FA Cup run.

Foley commented on the Sky Blues Saturday opponents: “The season is over halfway through, we have to be realistic and know we need results quickly. Millwall have been on a good run and are a physical team like they always have been.

“I think it is just what we need. We have to go toe-to-toe with a team. There are a lot of good footballing teams out there, but we need to test ourselves against physical teams.

“You can get no better physical test than playing against Millwall, but it is one I am relishing and I am sure the other lads are too.”
