INJURY NEWS: "Andy Rose is fit for selection, we’ll have to see who will come in place of McCann.” - Coventry City’s Mark Venus

28 October 2016

Andy Rose is in contention to replace the injured Chris McCann in tomorrow's derby day clash at the Bank's stadium...

The Sky Blues will be boosted by the availability of Andy Rose, who is fit for selection as City prepare to travel to Walsall tomorrow.

While the choice in midfield has been enhanced by the 26-year old's return, City will be without the services of Chris McCann who is struggling with a hamstring injury picked up last weekend.

Mark Venus said: “McCann will be out for three or four weeks now, he’s got a minor hamstring tear. Chris has been really influential since coming in to the team, we’re going to miss him.

“Rose is fit for selection, we’ll have to see who will come in in place of McCann.

“Chris Stokes is at least a couple of weeks away, he’s having a bit of a difficult time with his recovery pathway but working extremely hard to get fit again."
