The Sky Blues will be without Beavon tomorrow as he recovers from a hamstring scare, while the City boss will also have to ensure his starting XI complies with the competition's 'full strength' criteria.
New signing Farrend Rawson is cup-tied, having already represented Derby County in the Trophy, but Jordan Turnbull is eligible to return after serving his one-match suspension.
Russell Slade said: “Rules and regulations and one or two injury problems. We have cup-tied players, which makes it a bit limiting.
“It gives one or two others another opportunity. Stuart Beavon has a tight hamstring, rather than a strain. We’re hoping he’ll be fit for Saturday.”
