City boss says the Johnstone's Paint Tropy draw will play second fiddle to preparations for Swindon

Coventry City boss Mark Robins says he will be paying no attention to the draw for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy regional quarter-finals until after the Sky Blues' away League One clash with Swindon Town on Saturday.

City cruised past York City 4-0 at Bootham Crescent on Tuesday night after a double from David McGoldrick and strikes from Callum Ball and Chris Hussey infront of 374 travelling fans.

The club find out who they will face in the last eight of the Northern Section of the competition when the draw is made live on programme Soccer AM on Saturday (October 13) morning.

But when asked if he would be watching Robins said: "Absolutely not. We've got to start thinking about Swindon and how we're going to approach that game because our win (over York) has definitely given us food for thought.

"We're carrying a few knocks and we'll have to look at some of the platyers coming back but I wanted to use this game to help give the players confidence. I was proud of the way they performed in the second half and they did exactly what I asked of them at half time.

"There is no way to take any competition you take part in other than in the most serious way and we did that.

"The lads that came off the bench were also champing at the bit because they want to make a strong case to start being involved from the off and I thought they contributed greatly so overall I was delighted."
