Club Legend Cyrille Regis thanked for giving a home draw...
Coventry City manager Mark Robins has thanked club legend Cyrille Regis for giving the Sky Blues a home draw in the second round of the FA Cup.
City beat Arlesey Town in the first round of the FA Cup thanks to goals from Callum Ball, Cyrus Christie and Steven Jennings.
The 1987 FA Cup hero Regis was on hand to do the draw at Wembley yesterday and picked Coventry out meaning the Sky Blues will be at the Ricoh Arena for the next round of the cup.
City will play against either Morecambe or Rochdale and Robins was happy with the second round draw.
Robins said: "We did really well at the weekend to come through that test as they did come at us but we were professional about it and we want to progress in this competition.
"We were pleased to be in the hat and we have had another good draw as it is a home draw. That is great for us and that was all we were asking for as we will have that backing from the home fans.
"Big Cyrille Regis pulled our number out as well which was great and we better thank him for that. It has given us a great opportunity but we will have to be at our best.
"To have either Morecambe or Rochdale at home will be another test but there are plenty of positives around the place at the moment so we have to be confident."
